Taraba state government has vowed to sack members of the operation keep Taraba clean (street sweepers) who fail to obtain APC membership card in the ongoing APC e-registration exercise.

Hon. Iliya Kefas, chairman, environmental and sanitation agency who disclosed this during a chat with journalists in Jalingo on Tuesday said members of the operation keep Taraba clean must identify fully with Governor Kefas ideology.

The chairman said no member of the agency will be spared, if he or she fails to register and obtain APC membership card in the ongoing APC e-registration.

The Parrot News reports that the street sweepers had last week accused the state government of compelling members to go for the APC registration or face santion.

Some of the workers described the action of government as intimidation, arguing that Taraba State was not only for APC but all other political parties alike.

Meanwhile, the Chairman, environment and sanitation agency, Illiya Kefas says “Yes, anyone who refuse to do the APC registration will not only face payment sanction but sack. I will sack anyone without APC membership card”. He insisted.
