Vice President Kashim Shettima has described governor Agbu Kefas as an asset to Taraba State.
The vice president who disclosed this during a political gathering in Jalingo for the official defection of Governor Kefas from People Democratic party to All Progressive Congress on Saturday said Kefas coming to APC should be seen as a blessing to Taraba State
Kashim Shettima also commended governor Kefas for his sense of inclusivity and development drive in Taraba state.
He stated further that the All Progressive Congress was built as a meeting point, adding that it is a thing of joy that Governor Kefas has taken the initiative to join the fold.
Kashim Shittima, however expressed hope that Adamawa and Bauchi will follow soon and join the All Progressive Congress.
“We are very proud of Governor Agbu Kefas for his sense of inclusivity and development. He shows clear understanding of the diversity of Taraba State and is working hard to ensure that the State remains United despite the differences” he said
The national Chairman of the APC Professor Nentawe Yilwada in his address, said joining the APC is the best thing that governor Kefas has done for Taraba State.
He added that Taraba State is richly endowed and this alignment with the ruling party will help to harness the full potentials of the State.
“Both old and new members have equal rights and equal opportunities. We stand for unity and expect you the leader of the party to unite everyone into one indivisible and indestructible party”.
In his address, Governor Agbu Kefas commended president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the party and assured the people of Taraba State that his movement into the APC is for the best interest of the State.
“We would not dwell on the past but will work to redefine the future that we all desire for ourselves and our children and generations to come” Kefas said
