The registration was done in a brief ceremony in the governor’s office in Jalingo.

Speaking shortly after picking the APC membership Card, Kefas said his registration into APC was in line with his resolve to defect to the party and had concluded consultation with the leadership of the All Progressive Congress in his Ward, the local government and the state.

According to the Governor, his formal defection would have been done earlier than now but because of the unfortunate abduction of Kebbi and Niger states students it was shifted.
